As important or timely or whatever the case may be, everyone is not interested in what you have to say.
Obama didn’t create this America. He exposed how many Americans were never comfortable with the America his presidency represented.
Everybody’s “get what’s coming to you” doesn’t look the same.
Not everyone who wears a badge and a gun is a good person and not everyone who goes to jail is a bad person.
The Philosophical Insomniac lives somewhere between observation, memory, cultural truth and spiritual reflection. The point isn't to tell people what to think. The point is to say plainly what experience has made difficult to ignore.
The Black experience is part of the center of gravity here, but the questions are larger than any one community: Who are we when nobody is grading the answer? What do we owe one another? What do we carry too long? What do we pretend not to see?
